Wood Turned Plum Bowl

Three years ago I scored some big pieces of plumb wood. I turned one of the pieces in to a bowl blank with the intention of making a live edge bowl. As I let the bowl dry it cracked in a bunch of places. Before finishing the turning on the bowl I filled the cracks with resin. I then did the final turning on the bowl with the resin in place. Except where I lost a few pieces of bark the bowl turned out really nice. I also carved feet for the bowl instead of a rimed base.

  1. I like you're videos You are good as a youtuber ( i say that) . I am very impressed of what You did with the cnc machine and as a matter of fact I am a cnc operator on a machine like You have (try to use the machine more than the other tools You have , because She have precision and with some more experience You will se how more useful is than any other tools.)
ps: I want more of you videos 🙂

  2. Wow Frank…just amazing. I just published a video of our greenhouse build, and your videos really inspired this video. I did some Sketchup animation overlays, green screen, cloned myself… I tried to build a rotating time lapse camera rig like you did as well. You really are an inspiration ! I Love the lathe shot with transparent /see through sections and I'm trying to figure out how you did that one!
