DiResta Blade Handle
DiResta Knife: https://imakeny.com/products/diresta-skeleton-knife
Jimmy DiResta made some skeleton blades — a blade that is just a metal section without the handle. A bunch of us on the Maker Mob are each doing our own projects with this blade. My project is to turn a handle for the blade on the lathe. As Jimmy has his brand on the handle section, I wanted to be able to see that through the handle. My handle sandwiches the blade between a piece of walnut and a piece of plexiglass. I then turned the walnut and plexiglass into a round, comfortable handle. It is slipped onto the blade and held in place with two screws.

Good!!❤️
Someone got here literally the second the video came out and posted, "good" before I could comment first. What a waste?
love you dad thankyou for the content
Wait, if Frank walked in from the front door of the woodshop, then who was the one who put the mug down on the table?!
Happy Thanksgiving, Frank!
Funny, I just watched Bill Doran's video on creating a handle, now this comes up!
Looks like a diver knife. Great job!!
I love your work and how you go about things Frank, this DIREsta chap however is far too intoxicated with his own, not very impressive name:
You are creative ❤️
It’s wild to see a bunch of my favorite YouTubers all release this video on their channels. Cool idea!
@9:56 good luck any epileptics watching on a TV or large tablet O.O
12:48. That's a really cool device! I don't have much time on a lathe, but the few times I've spun wood that whatchamacallit would've come in handy. Anyone know what that's called? This one looks homemade from an old inline skate and ply. Is it just washers and a wingnut to hold them in place?
Almost everyone has Diresta Knife ..? We wait for our knife or what
…and, always fun to watch. Excellent! Thanks for posting!
And if you remove the blade, it kind of looks like… uh, nevermind. Happy thanksgiving Frank!
I just recently fallowed you on Instagram too, and I’ve been loving the sneak peeks to your videos. Love what you do Frank, happy thanksgiving to you and your family
I love the look of this! But after binging Forged in Fire recently all I can think about is how hard it would be to index a round handled blade. But ya know, if you don't swing this at and ice blocks it doesn't matter! Its gorgeous!
Just finished John Heisz’s video!
First time I didn't like something Frank made. Cool proof of concept as far as turning plexiglass, but he had to have known it looks like a butt plug. Reminds me of the movie Se7en (Lust sin…). Still, thanks for making something and showing us. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Why everyone makes something about DiResta these days?
Of course everybody is going with clear handles becasue why wouldn't you wanna show those gorgeous letter off. Amazing work, Frank.
I don't like diresta
Love this video. Great homage to Jimmy.

lol. i loved the video style
Frank is this incredibly meticulous artist whereas Jimmy is a bumbling butcher. I don’t like that these two have collaborated. This is a fail in my opinion.
